DEPOSITS


All appointments require a confirmation deposit. Appointments are first confirm, first serve. If you book an appointment without a deposit, your appointment may be given away to another client who wants your appointment time and is ready to confirm with their deposit. If this happens, you will be placed on our waiting list for your originally requested time.  The deposits are always applied to the service total.
    * Deposits may be made, via phone, mail or on our website at www.strandsofbeauty.com
    * We recommend deposits be made at the time of booking to avoid being placed on waiting list or canceled. 


CANCELLATIONS


Atlanta deposits are refundable with a 24 hour cancellation notice.All other states require a 2 week notice.

OUR TEAM


Strands of Beauty braiders are employees, not independent contractors, and are not for hire. Any braider soliciting or entertain solicitation will be terminated immediately. Any client caught soliciting a braider for hire will be asked to leave and service will be terminated immediately. Please do not cause Strands of Beauty employees to loose their jobs, or risk having your service terminated immediately by trying to get a braider to do your hair outside of the salon.

HOW WE DO IT


We are committed to providing healthy, quality, professional braids done “right and not tight”©.  If you are tender headed, please inform your braider before your service to ensure the correct grip pressure suits your comfort level.  Please understand that braids are designed to be installed relatively tight and looser braids may result in less style longevity.  

Strands of Beauty is not responsible for scalp tenderness or sensitivity, sores, hair loss, or any hair/scalp condition resulting from service received outside of our salon.


You may be asked if we can take a photo or photos of you. If you agree, please understand that we may or may not use your photo on our website or on other marketing elements.  We will remind you of this verbally before the photo is taken.  It is understood that if you pose for our photo you agree to allow us to use the photo.  If you do not want your photo to be used, please do not allow us to take your photo. We will verbally ask you if Strands of Beauty can use your photo before any photos are taken. You may be asked to sign a Release Form.


REFUNDS


It is the goal of Strands of Beauty to make each client happy with their braids and service. This is achieved through a number of mechanisms used prior and during your appointment. In the event you are not happy with your service, please inform your braider and/ or the Administrative Assistant while you are still at your appointment so we can make every effort to correct the issue immediately.  We do not give refunds.


APPOINTMENTS & PAYMENTS


Strands of Beauty will accept cash, money orders and all credit cards, but we do not keep any credit card information on file for any reason. We do not accept checks.

We guarantee that every online transaction you make will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at our online store. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 for fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for this $50.00, we will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. We will only cover this liability if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made while using our secure server. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules, regulations and procedures.


Prices quoted in your confirmation are starting prices and are subject to change due to the following: your request for a different length, hair type, hair color, style change, size of braids or something different from your original request as stated in your email confirmation (i.e., if your natural hair requires more time or weaving hair than was allotted at your original quoted price). Therefore, you will be informed of any price change at the start of your service.  


We try to honor requests for braiders but can not guarantee that the request will be met.


Strands of Beauty does not double book.  If you are going to be late for your appointment, please call and let us know as soon as possible.  We value your time, the time of our employees, and the time of other clients.  If you are late to your appointment and another client is scheduled after you, we will go ahead and start your service until the next scheduled client arrives. At that time, we will suspend your service until after the completion of the on-time client. We will then finish your service when time permits.
